Goa Gil vintage poster give away!!!

Hey everyone! 

We have decided that we love you so much we are going to host a give away contest! 

In fact, we will have one each month from June to October!

!SUPER FANTASTIC! 

Did you guys know that Gil has been DJing for OVER 23 years?!

Let's celebrate with a Goa Gil throwback Thursday contest!  

 

Our first contest winner will receive a collection of vintage Goa Gil posters!

The rules of the contest are as follows

THIS Thursday June 19th

1. Follow @partybabas on twitter

2. Post @partybabas #tbt with a throwback Goa Gil picture, and the year it was taken

3. THE PICTURE MUST BE OVER 5 YEARS OLD 

4. It can be a picture of you, or Gil, or the party itself~ whatever you feel best celebrates over 23 years of Goa Gil! 

Winner will be announced on Friday the 20th!

Hi all!!!

Party Babas have just begun the decompression process

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend and we hope you did too!

We want to take a moment to discuss

LEAVE NO TRACE 

Sure, most of you are like...I know what that means!

But...obviously....not everyone does

In terms of dancefloor trash

Double Rainbow was the CLEANEST dancefloor I have EVER EVER seen 

I mean, it was super duper clean 

Everyone was being fairly responsible with their butts, cans, and bottles.

In fact, everything was looking really good trash wise until Monday.

On Monday, the next party crew came to set up.

And they brought a big dumpster with them.

And a lot of

YOUR

TRASH

next to the dumpster 

We are talking 

MANY

MANY

MANY

bags of trash.

So many bags of trash, we could not fit them all in the truck to get them off site. 

So we had to PAY A TON OF MONEY 

FOR YOUR TRASH 

Leave No Trace

means leave no trace

it does not mean pile all your trash into a pile in a corner and we deal with it

Party Babas works REALLY REALLY hard to provide you with the best experience possible

We scout amazing locations

and we keep ticket prices AS LOW AS possible

We always accommodate low income tickets and special requests 

So we really can not afford to take the time and money required to deal with your trash. 

So

What can you do if you are at a festival, and you have a bag of trash, but no way of getting it home?

ASK SOMEONE 

Maybe someone can help you tie it on the roof of your car

or maybe your neighbor can take it

Worst case scenario, you can always find a volunteer and let them know

And we will do our best to help you  

BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

DO NOT LEAVE BAGS OF TRASH  LAYING AROUND

This was seriously one of the best Gil events ever.

The weather was PERFECT the entire time!!!

Beautiful sunny and warm during the day and not too cold at night! 

The set up was amazing!

Goa Gil Meme CONTEST!!

Party Babas is proud to announce

our first ever

Goa Gil Meme Contest!

The winner will receive FREE ADMISSION to Goa Gil's Double Rainbow! 

Rules and Info 

1. Create your own original Goa Gil Meme

2. You must include: a picture of Gil and some text 

3. Contest runs May 9th to May 16th!

4. Winner will be announced May 18th! 

5. Email all submission to gilnessisgoodness@gmail.com before midnight on the 16th. 

The memes will be judged by the Party Babas crew.

This is not a photoshop contest, although we will base our decision partially on visual appeal. 

High points will be awarded for funny memes.

Thank you everyone who came out to dance!!! Yesterday was insane!
Big shout out to the set up crew!!! We set up the whole stage and then had to move it over five feet or so to the right because of the fire lane (even tho our previous set up plan was approved many times). So in total Party Babas fashion we got together and lifted the entire set up and carried it over!!
Hopefully next year we can be in a new location so we can set up bigger and better sound for all of you!!!
Special thanks to Valentine and Eric and Yohan for going abovr amd beyond with the sound!!
And thanks to Claudia, Gabby, and Katia for all their painting awesomeness!!!!
And the school of the arts in sf for letting us borrow your awesome paper mache monster creatures!!!! ( those were the big round ones!)
